Tires and Brakes are on the car.

Last week we finished putting the tires and brakes on the car and we are starting to put the new donation stickers on the roof.  This year we decided to try the Continental Extreme Contact DW tires.  The Continentals have a very similar rating and at a much more acceptabel price.  It looks like a field of about 70 vehicles this year with a healthy contingent of Nissan GTR's, Corvettes, Porsches, BMWs, Vipers, Camaros (both new and vintage), and Mustangs as well as many others.  There is even a 1969 American Motors AMX.  There is a class for pretty much anything.

We still need help in our fundraising for the Pa. Breast Cancer Coalition.  Donations are a little behind this year and I would like to appeal to those who gave in past years and those who are sympathetic to the cause to send in your donation and help us help this great cause and meet our fundraising goal.  Don't forget anyone donating $10 or more will get their name on a Pink Breast Cancer sticker on the car.  Or you can name someone to honor or in memory of.   Please make checks payable to PABCC (Pa. Breast Cancer Coalition) and send to Jim Roberts 14 W. Main St. Mount Joy, Pa. 17552.

Please keep checking back as I will try to post on a regular basis during the competition to share the results and the story of the day;^)

JimBob Racing is proud to announce that Engle Printing and Publishing Co. will again be our major hood sponsor for this years running of the One Lap of America.  They are celebrating 59 years in business this year and publish many editions of the Merchandiser and similar newspapers as well as the Auto Locator and several specialty publications throughout Central Pennsylvania and are a very respected and involved member of the local community.

I would also like to mention our other sponsors without which I couldn't put this effort together. The Mount Joy Diner, Auto-Locator, Jim's Tire Service, Top of The Line Roofing, Krunch Kritters Spray Shop, PA. Breast Cancer Coalition, Jim Roberts' West Main Auto, Mick's All American Pub, SSC Tint & Graphics and the Lancaster County Corvette Club. We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their support.

As mentioned in a previous post we are fund raising for the Pa. Breast Cancer Coalition. We have started filling up the roof of the car with personalized stickers for those who donate $10 or more. At this point we are a little behind last year in donations but we hope to catch up. Don't forget if we get your donation before we leave in early May we will put your name on one of our Pa. Breast Cancer Coalition stickers and place it on the car and you can "ride along vicariously"on this world class race.  You can also put a sticker on in Honor of someone you know who has dealt with breast cancer or another cancer. You can also name someone in Memorial. We have had some families who for $10 each have put all the members of the family on to show their support for the fight against Breast Cancer. Rick Stauffer my trasit driver is from the Ephrata area and is actively seeking donations from his friends and neighbors as well. If you would like to donate please send your donations to Jim Roberts 14 W. Main St. Mount Joy, Pa. 17552. Please make any checks payable to Pa. Breast Cancer Coalition.  Donations to Pa Breast Cancer Coalition are tax deductible.
on this world class race.
